About Us

Uri” means “our” and “hakkyo” means “schools” in Korean language.

Korean schools in Japan are called “Uri Hakkyo” among community members and supporters with much love and respect.

We are a group of Zainichi Korean (Korean residents in Japan), Japanese, Australian, American, Korean activists, scholars, artists and entrepreneurs working collectively to create a society where Koreans and all other students have equal access to education.
